The inmate who allegedly stabbed Tory Lanez in prison this week has been recognized as Santino Casio, and he’s already serving life in prison with the chance of parole, The Post has confirmed.
A consultant from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) instructed The Post that Casio, 42, is being investigated for allegedly attacking the rapper at a housing unit in the California Correctional Institution, Tehachapi, on Monday, May 12, at roughly 7:20 a.m. PT.
Casio’s rap sheet is a mile long and dates back to 2004, when he was sentenced to life with the chance of parole for second-degree homicide, first-degree tried homicide, personal use of a harmful or lethal weapon, and inflict great bodily harm, per the CDCR spokesperson.

His crimes didn’t stop during lockup either.
On Jan. 3, 2008, during his incarceration, Casio was sentenced to an further six years for assault by a prisoner with a lethal weapon of power probably to trigger great bodily harm, the CDCR consultant shared with The Post.
Over 10 years later, he was given an further two years for possession and manufacture of a lethal weapon by a prisoner.

An investigation into Lanez’s stabbing was “initiated” by the California Correctional Institution, the state’s prison system, where he’s serving time for capturing Megan Thee Stallion, on Monday. We have been instructed that the state’s prison-oversight company, the Office of the Inspector General, “has been notified” about the incident.
The Kern County District Attorney’s Office confirmed they’re “awaiting a formal complaint following the investigation” before any doable costs stick.
Lanez was allegedly stabbed 14 instances, according to a post shared on his behalf via Instagram after the incident. He is respiratory on his own and recovering from his accidents.
