President Donald Trump delivered remarks at a rally in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, aimed at testing messaging on the continuing affordability disaster, an issue he has constantly blamed on his predecessor, former President Joe Biden. 

Trump was in full marketing campaign mode during his practically hour-long remarks to a rowdy crowd of supporters, which targeted closely on blaming Biden for the economic system he inherited, while launching into a profanity-laced tirade about his recognition in Pennsylvania.

“Historically, when I’ve done polls, you know, from people, you know, I do my own polls. I go to a big arena. We have 20,000 people. I say, which do you like? Sleepy Joe, crooked Joe, and I learned that I saved millions of dollars. I don’t have to do any polling. Okay? Typically, crooked Joe wins. I’m surprised, because to me, he’s a sleepy son of a b—-,” Trump said. The journey comes as polling constantly exhibits that public trust in Trump’s financial management has faltered. Following dismal outcomes for Republicans in last month’s off-cycle elections, the White House has sought to persuade voters that the economic system will emerge stronger next 12 months and that any anxieties over inflation don’t have anything to do with Trump.

Trump has constantly blamed Biden for the traditionally high inflation, which had cooled down in 2022, but has been on the rise again in the wake of Trump’s widespread tariffs, the legality of which is being thought-about in a case before the Supreme Court.
