President Donald Trump on Monday said he and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz have begun working together and are on a “similiar wavelength” toward Immigration Customs Enforcement operations in the state.
In a Truth Social post, the president said Walz “was happy” to hear that he was sending Tom Homan, the Trump administration’s border czar, into Minneapolis.
“Governor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota. It was a very good call, and we, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength,” the post read. “I told Governor Walz that I would have Tom Homan call him, and that what we are looking for are any and all Criminals that they have in their possession.”
The Trump administration’s change in strategy comes after a second deadly capturing by ICE brokers rocked Minneapolis. Widespread protests broke out among residents demanding that federal officers depart town.
