President Trump broke his silence on the not too long ago launched files on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), arguing that the paperwork might be an alternative for Americans to resolve “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?”
The president took to Truth Social to have fun the Pentagon’s release of a whole bunch of files on the objects, explicitly utilizing the phrase “alien” to describe the space phenomena.
“As for my promise to you, the Department of War has released the first tranche of the UFO/UAP files to the Public for their review and study. In an effort for Complete and Maximum Transparency, it was my Honor to direct my Administration to identify and provide Government files related to Alien and Extraterrestrial Life, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and Unidentified Flying Objects,” Trump wrote.
“Whereas previous Administrations have failed to be transparent on this subject, with these new Documents and Videos, the people can decide for themselves, ‘WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?’
The Pentagon said in a post on Friday that while past administrations ave sought to discredit or dissuade the American people, President Donald Trump is “centered on offering most transparency to the public, who can in the end make up their own minds about the data contained in these files.” Additional documents will be released in a rolling bases.

The Pentagon has been working on declassifying documents related to UFOs for years, and Congress created an office in 2022 to declassify material. Its 2024 debut report revealed hundreds of new UAP incidents but found no evidence that the U.S. government had ever confirmed a sighting of alien technology.
Experts have urged caution around the release of the new files, warning that UAP videos are often misinterpreted and mischaracterized by those unfamiliar with advanced military technology. The Pentagon’s 2024 report rebutted claims that the U.S. government has recovered alien technology or confirmed evidence of alien life.
Some of the files contain UFO sightings in several historic events, including the Apollo missions. In one document, Buzz Aldrin, the second person to walk on the moon, said, “the first unusual thing that we saw I guess was 1 day out or something pretty close to the moon. It had a sizeable dimension to it, so we put the monocular on it.”

He added, “little flashes inside the cabin, spaced a couple of minutes apart,” while he was trying to sleep, as well as a “fairly bright light source which we tentatively ascribed to a possible laser.”
The Trump administration had previously hinted at the release of the documents, with the president telling a Turning Point USA crowd in Arizona last month that he would instruct Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to release the sealed documents.
“I recently directed the Secretary of War… to begin releasing government files relating to UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena,” Trump said. “And I figured this was a good crowd because I know you people– you’re really into that, I don’t know if I am.”
He added that “this process was well underway and we’ve found many interesting documents, I must say, and the first releases will begin very, very soon.”
Responding to the president’s comments, the Defense Department said that its All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is “working in close coordination with the White House and across federal agencies to consolidate existing UAP records collections and facilitate the expeditious release of never-before-seen UAP information.”
“AARO has made progress to make UAP information available and transfer those records to the National Archives in accordance with federal law,” the statement continued. “We welcome the president’s initiative to supercharge these efforts and make more UAP information available to the public as soon as possible,” the assertion added.
The Trump administration has expressed a newfound curiosity for UFOs in response to feedback former President Barack Obama made during an interview for the “No Lie” podcast in which he declared that aliens “are real, but I haven’t seen them.”

In those statements, he added that extraterrestrials should not stored in the notorious Area 51, a extremely categorised U.S. Air Force facility that has been the subject of a number of conspiracy theories.
“There’s no underground facility, unless there’s this enormous conspiracy, and they hid it from the president of the United States,” he added.
After his feedback gained traction from Americans, Obama clarified on social media that he “saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us.”
“I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it’s gotten attention let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there,” Obama said. “But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!”
At the time, President Trump accused Obama of releasing categorised data after Fox News’s Peter Doocy requested him whether or not he had seen evidence of “non-human visitors to Earth.”
“Well, he gave classified information,” Trump responded. “He’s not supposed to be doing that.”
After being pressed about the subject, Trump told the journalist, “I never talk about it. A lot of people do. Do you believe it, Peter?” before including, “I may get him out of trouble by declassifying” data on aliens.
