Fox & Friends’ Lawrence Jones requested the Arkansas-native, “Did you expect so much backlash from the media questioning your story?”
Simmons replied, “I didn’t expect that much, no. You know, I never really wanted this to be about me. Or I didn’t want to be a part of any of the decisive issues because that’s just not me.”
She continued, “You know, I love everybody, I love people on every side of the fence about different issues, you know, because that’s how my parents brought me up.
“You know, not to decide people, and so it has been actually—it has been variety of a laborious, tough factor for me because that’s not how I used to be raised. So, it is—yeah, some of it has been laborious to see and laborious to read about.”
Simmons, dressed in a “DoorDash Grandma” T-shirt, walked up to the Oval Office’s exterior door and knocked as media cameras rolled.
The president answered, feigning surprise, and, in front of reporters, spoke to the grandmother about how much money she had saved due to the new policy.
The president eventually asked Simmons, “I feel you voted for me. Do you suppose?” She responded, “Um, perhaps.” Trump continued, “I heard you are a great supporter. We recognize it.”
When a reporter later asked if the White House was a good tipper, Simmons hesitated, “Um … doubtlessly.” Trump added, “Wait,” then reached into his pocket for a $100 bill and handed it to Simmons.
She took the money, laughed, and finished, “Yes, very,” as the president patted her on the back and smiled.
Trump also invited Simmons and her husband to a UFC match he’s helping set up on the White House lawn to mark his 80th birthday in June.
He then tried pressing Simmons on whether she believes “males ought to play in ladies’s sports activities.” She replied, “I actually do not have an opinion on that,” prompting Trump to push, “I’ll guess you do.” She insisted, “No, no. I’m right here about no tax on suggestions.”

Her exact savings figures were difficult to verify because Simmons’ tax statement wasn’t given to reporters. However, Simmons said the details of her taxes are nobody’s business but hers and her husband’s.
Simmons said on Fox & Friends, “There’s been misunderstandings about my taxes and stuff, and I made over $11,000 in suggestions. Okay, but our personal financial savings and every little thing on our taxes, that’s variety of our business…
She added, “I don’t feel like that’s my responsibility to tell everybody, you know, what I got or what I didn’t get. When I say that the $11k, that is the amount of tips that I made, and so that’s just…”
The total staged second with Simmons was to promote a half of the Trump-backed tax-and-spend package deal, the One Big Beautiful Bill, accepted last summer season, that permits Americans to briefly deduct some federal taxes from income earned from suggestions.
It lets sure employees deduct up to $25,000, but it phases out for higher-income employees.
During another interview with Fox News Digital, Simmons said she hopes that the advantages she’s reaping from Trump’s no-tax-on-tips coverage will continue past its current 2028 end date.
“Well, obviously, we would like for it to continue, but I’m going to enjoy it while I’ve got it. And, you know, it’s not for me to decide that,” she told the outlet in a Monday interview shortly after delivering a McDonald’s order to Trump.
“I figure that I’m probably going to be saving about $3,000 to $4,000,” Simmons added.
It comes as Iran’s chilling plan to seize the ‘Gate of Tears’ was uncovered.
