Unveiled info about President Donald Trump’s ancestry exhibits he is associated to a brutal warrior clan featured in the Highlander motion pictures.

According to the president’s luxurious golf course resort in Scotland, Trump International’s web site, the Republican commander-in-chief has in depth connections to a highly effective Scottish Highland clan.

The web site says that Trump’s household belongs to the MacLeod clan, which claims descent from Leod, the son of Olaf the Black, a Norse King of the Isle of Man and the Isles. The group, hence, has both Norse and Gaelic heritage.

“The origins of the MacLeod Clan are shrouded in mystery, but it is fairly certain that its Chiefs are of Norse origin and that Leod was the younger son of Olaf the Black, one of the last Norse Kings,” Trump International Scotland’s webpage reads.

“He is believed to have inherited the Islands of Lewis, Harris, and part of Skye,” the web site continued. “Dunvegan, on Skye, was and still is the seat of the MacLeod Chief. It was to become the virtual cultural center of the Isles.”

Trump’s connection to the clan in Scotland comes through his mom, Mary Anne MacLeod, who was born in 1912 in the village of Tong on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland.

The MacLeod household in Lewis belongs to the MacLeod of Lewis department, one of the two main branches of Clan MacLeod.

Mary Anne emigrated to the U.S. in 1930 and later married Fred Trump, with whom she had 5 youngsters: Maryanne Trump Barry, Fred Trump Jr., Elizabeth Trump Gray, Donald Trump, and Robert Trump.
