President Trump revealed on Tuesday that Iran agreed to “never” construct a nuclear weapon, raising major questions about the future of the battle in the Middle East.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said the origin of the continued battle was the prospect of Iran building a nuclear weapon. However, he said, during ongoing negotiations, Islamic leaders agreed to keep away from those plans in hopes to make a peace deal with the U.S.
“Remember, it all begins with they can’t have a nuclear weapon, you realize I said yesterday, and what did they are saying, what are the top 10?” Trump said. “I said, well, No. 1, 2 and 3 is, they can’t have a nuclear weapon.”
“And they’re not gonna have a nuclear weapon,” he added. “We’re speaking about that. I do not need to say in advance, but they’ve agreed they are going to never have a nuclear weapon. They’ve agreed to that.”
During his remarks, the president added that U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who has been more and more concerned in overseas relations negotiations, held peace talks with an Iranian chief on Sunday. Though he didn’t reveal which chief they speak to, he famous that his administration has not yet contacted Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei.

Though it stays unclear if any real deal has been reached between the 2 nations, the U.S. said it will agree to be part of talks to end the Middle East battle in Pakistan, according to three Pakistani leaders. Mediators say they have been still attempting to persuade Iran to be part of the dialog, displaying skepticism about trusting the U.S.
During his remarks at the White House on Tuesday, President Trump said quite a few people, apart from Witkoff and Kushner, are working to attain a deal with Iran.
“We have a number of people doing it,” Trump said. “And the other side, I can tell you, they’d like to make a deal.”

The State Department has not yet commented on Trump’s claims of talks with Iran.
The president also said that Iran gave the U.S. a “present” as show of religion, suggesting “we’re dealing with the right people.”
“They gave us a present, and the present arrived today,” Trump said at the White House. “It was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money. And I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize.”
Pressed for more particulars, Trump said the present was “oil- and gas-related,” but went no additional. “It was a very nice thing they did. But what it showed me is that we’re dealing with the right people.”
Interestingly, the speaker of Iran’s parliament, Mohammas Bagher Qalibaf, denied Trump’s claims of direct talks as an Iranian navy spokesman issued a chilling risk about the conflict.
“Iran’s powerful armed forces are proud, victorious, and steadfast in defending Iran’s integrity, and this path will continue until complete victory,” Iranian state tv quoted Maj. Gen. Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi on Tuesday.
