President Trump accused the American media of committing treason over its reviews in Iran in his latest tirade unleashed on social media.
The president took to Truth Social on Tuesday evening to categorical his discontent with U.S. media, which he dubbed “Fake News,” expressing his disagreements about how the conflict in Iran is being lined. He didn’t single out a particular outlet or journalist in his post, but accused them of aiding and abetting the enemy.”
“When the Fake News says that the Iranian enemy is doing properly, Militarily, against us, it’s digital TREASON in that it’s such a false, and even preposterous, assertion. They are aiding and abetting the enemy! All it does is give Iran false hope when none ought to exist. These are American cowards that are rooting against our Country,” the president wrote.
“Iran had 159 ships in their Navy — Every single ship is now resting at the underside of the sea. They have no Navy, their Air Force is gone, all Technology is gone, their “leaders” are no longer with us, and the Country is an Economic Disaster. Only Losers, Ingrates, and Fools are ready to make a case against America!” he added.
The president has previously claimed that the media should be charged with treason. In March, Trump accused the media of sharing misinformation through fabricated AI images of the Iran war.
“The story was knowingly FAKE and, in a sure manner, you’ll be able to say that those Media Outlets that generated it needs to be introduced up on Charges for TREASON for the dissemination of false info!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “The fact is, Iran is being decimated, and the only battles they ‘win’ are those that they create through AI, and are distributed by Corrupt Media Outlets.”

According to The New York Times, over 110 AI-generated photographs and videos have collectively been seen by tens of millions on X, TikTok, and Facebook. The pretend videos vary from building explosions to Israelis screaming in Tel Aviv, Iranians mourning deceased residents, and American weaponry. Trump has seemingly blamed the Iranian authorities for the creation of the photographs and videos.
