President Donald Trump spoke with reporters from the White House garden early morning on Tuesday. He told reporters that he’ll “fire” any military chief he would not like “on the spot” as he headed to Quantico, Virginia, to attend a gathering of top commanders stationed all around the world.
“I’m gonna be meeting with generals and admirals and with leaders, and if I don’t like somebody, I’m gonna fire them right on the spot”, Trump said.
President Trump will deal with lots of of U.S. military officers after the Pentagon requested top commanders from around the world to convene at a base in Virginia. The motive behind the gathering stays unknown.

Italian Adm. Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, the chair of NATO’s Military Committee, however, described the assembly as uncommon and told reporters Saturday after a NATO assembly in Riga, Latvia, that “as far as my 49 years of service, I’ve never seen that before.”
Confirming his attendance on Sunday, Trump said it could be “really just a very nice meeting talking about how well we’re doing militarily, talking about being in great shape, talking about a lot of good, positive things”.
