Tulsi Gabbard Comes Out Swinging Against Mark

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard blasted Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and the gaslighting media in a forceful post arguing that the accusations against her for allegedly burying a whistleblower’s report had been whole rubbish.

Warner was responding to a Wall Street Journal report on Monday that said Gabbard was sitting on “a whistleblower complaint that is so highly classified it has sparked months of wrangling over how to share it with Congress.” 

Ooh, seems like a spy film.

The authentic criticism didn’t even accuse Gabbard of wrongdoing; reasonably, it alleged that somebody was participating in misconduct inside an intelligence‑neighborhood program.

Of course, the WSJ report was based nearly solely on nameless sources and also contained this little tidbit: “A representative for the inspector general said the office had determined specific allegations against Gabbard weren’t credible, while it couldn’t reach a determination on others.”

Mark Warner would not care about such niceties (or the information). In an NBC interview Thursday, he accused Gabbard of attempting to keep it all secret and said she was “not competent to do the job.” 

Gabbard fired back:

Senator Mark Warner and his pals in the Propaganda Media have repeatedly lied to the American people that I or the ODNI ‘hid’ a whistleblower criticism in a secure for eight months.

This is a blatant lie.

The fact: – I’m not now, nor have I ever been, in possession or control of the Whistleblower’s criticism, so I clearly couldn’t have “hidden” it in a secure. Biden-era IC Inspector General Tamara Johnson was in possession of and accountable for securing the criticism for months.

Tulsi Gabbard Comes Out Full Throttle Against ‘False and Slanderous Accusations’ From Dems and Media

Tulsi had more in her long post, and said that she may hardly have buried the report months in the past since she only reviewed it lately:

The first time I noticed the whistleblower criticism was 2 weeks in the past when I had to review it to present steering on how it needs to be securely shared with Congress.

– As Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Warner is aware of very effectively that whistleblower complaints that comprise extremely categorised and compartmented intelligence—even if they comprise baseless allegations like this one—must be secured in a secure, which the Biden-era Inspector General Tamara Johnson did and her successor, Inspector General Chris Fox, continued to do. After IC Inspector General Fox hand-delivered the criticism to the Gang of 8, the criticism was returned to a secure where it stays, constant with any data of such sensitivity.

House Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Rick Crawford (R-AR) said that Gabbard is true, there’s merely no there there:

…I concur with the conclusion that the Biden-era IC IG, Tamara Johnson, reached relating to the non-credible nature of the criticism and the re-review that the current IC IG, Chris Fox, carried out, reaching the same conclusion. The ensuing media firestorm—fed by hypothesis and little fact—was an attempt to smear @DNIGabbard and the Trump Administration.

Gabbard then punched back at Warner by saying that if there was anybody unqualified in the matter, it actually wasn’t her:

– Either Senator Warner is aware of these information and is deliberately mendacity to the American people, or he doesn’t have a clue how these issues work and is therefore not certified to be in the U.S. Senate—and actually not the Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

She then laid out a detailed chronology of the state of affairs, which she argued may lead to only one conclusion:

Senator Warner’s choice to unfold lies and baseless accusations over the months for political gain, undermines our national security and is a disservice to the American people and the Intelligence Community.

Ouch. I met Ms. Gabbard at an event once, and she was extraordinarily nice. That being said, I’m going to make sure never to tick her off.
