Tyson Fury has swiftly responded to Oleksandr Usyk’s brutal knockout of Daniel Dubois, insisting again that he received their two earlier encounters. Usyk and Dubois confronted off for the second time on Saturday evening at Wembley Stadium, with a crowd of over 90,000 spectators. From the outset, it was clear that the Ukrainian was on the offensive, evidently in search of an early KO.

Despite displaying some promise, ‘Triple D’ could not match the agility of the ‘Cat’, who used his nimble footwork to evade any hazard. After having Usyk cornered, Dubois discovered himself floored. He managed to beat the rely, only to be met with a devastating left counter from the Ukrainian which stopped hte battle early. The 38-year-old veteran secured the undisputed heavyweight title for the second time, leaving followers questioning what’s next.

It was anticipated that Usyk’s long-standing rival, Fury, could be current at the Saturday evening showdown after attending a pre-fight occasion at Wembley. However, the ‘Gypsy King’ was conspicuously absent.

Instead of watching the battle ringside, the Morecambe fighter opted for a run but was fast to voice his opinion on the bout in a video posted on his official Instagram web page.

“Massive shout out to Oleksandr Usyk. He did a fantastic job performance tonight over Daniel Dubois,” he started. “They came for a good tear up. So, congratulations to both men. But, Oleksandr Usyk knows there is one man who can beat him. I did it twice before and the world knows it. I have been f*****.

“I took it like a man. Here is me… not f****** around at some boxing match. I’m out on the street operating. I’m operating tonight. I got here home. I did my job and I obtained myself back. I’m the person. I’m the f****** spartan. And no matter what anybody needs to say, I f****** received those fights. extremely doubtless. 100 per cent. There is only one man! Get up!”

He captioned the post: “@usykaa congratulations. There’s only one man who can beat you again and that’s a Gypsy Okay Tyson Fury carried out it twice regardless of what the politics say!”

The pair locked horns on two occasions last year, with the Ukrainian emerging victorious in both encounters. Their initial meeting took place in May 2024, where an enthralling contest saw Usyk claim victory by split decision.

Seven months later, they returned to settle the score once more, with the ‘Gypsy King’ displaying greater aggression but ultimately falling short on points again. Following his triumph over Dubois, Usyk spoke about his future, stating: “Thirty eight is a younger man, bear in mind… 38 is only the beginning.

“This is for the people, it’s for our world’s people. This is enough. Next? I don’t know. I want to rest. I want to go back home to my wife, my family.”

When probed about potential opponents, Usyk talked about: “Maybe Tyson Fury. Maybe Derek Chisora. Maybe Anthony Joshua. Maybe Joseph Parker.”

Fury has introduced his next battle date following his resolution to step back into the ring. The Brit disclosed that his third conflict with Usyk is scheduled for 18 April 2026 at Wembley Stadium.

Taking to Instagram, the 36-year-old posted a battle poster of himself and the Ukrainian, with the caption: “April 18, 2026 Wembley Stadium. The trilogy! UK. Contact @spencerbrownmrgoldstar for tickets.”

After two intense fights with Usyk, Fury insists he was the rightful winner of their rematch in December. He declared: “My last fight was a clear f****** victory for The Gypsy King. Anybody in boxing can see that. A complete load of dogs***.

“I need a truthful battle, I do not need any favours, I need a truthful battle and a truthful consequence. Which I do know I did not [get]. I believed I received it by 5 rounds. I watched it 250 instances. Each method I never see it as a method for him to win. They can do what they need. If they are saying it is Tuesday it is Tuesday.”
