Paris Fury has revealed that her husband, Tyson, has agreed a deal for three additional bouts, despite Anthony Joshua declining to commit to a struggle at this stage. The former heavyweight champion claimed victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday evening in a one-sided contest broadcast live on Netflix.
It marked his first win since defeating Francis Ngannou in October 2023. A commanding efficiency following his return from retirement for the fifth time was rewarded with scorecards of 120-108, 120-108, 119-109 from the judges. Joshua was current ringside at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but turned down Fury’s invitation to be a part of him in the ring.
Fury said: “Next I want to give you the fight you’ve all been waiting for; I want you AJ, Anthony Joshua.
“Let’s give the struggle followers what they need, a battle of Britain. I problem you AJ to struggle me, The Gypsy King, next. Say yes or no now.”

However, Joshua refused to agree to the contest and could now take an interim bout before potentially facing Fury later in the year.
Paris has since told Boxing King Media that her husband intends to remain active in boxing for the foreseeable future, with three fights lined up.
She said: “He’s signed a deal now to do three more fights, and I noticed him out of the ring and noticed the unhappiness.
“To see him smile like this, and as long as I know, he’s had a three-month camp. He’s trained unbelievably.

“If he is put himself utterly first and put all the fitness in, then I do know he is executed every little thing he can, so I’m completely right here for it.”
When asked whether he would accept the bout, Joshua remained tight-lipped. The 36-year-old has not stepped into the ring since defeating YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in December.
Joshua lost two close friends in a devastating car crash in Nigeria weeks later, with the British fighter also a passenger in the vehicle.
He said: “Tyson… you are a clout chaser. Tyson I’ve never had no downside getting in the ring with you, I punched you out when we had been children, and after seeing you in the ring tonight I’d punch you up again.
“With all due respect tonight is your night and you I’ll sit across the ring from you in due time. You ain’t gonna tell me what to do. I’ve been chasing you for the last 10 years.
“When you are prepared you come and see me and inform me your phrases and situations. I’m the boss, you’re employed for me. I’m the owner keep in mind that, you’re employed for me.”
Joshua elaborated on his stance, adding: ‘There are negotiations that you go through. I have been at this table with him many times. In my heart, I’d fight Fury tomorrow, especially after watching that. There is not a problem fighting him.
“I’m not right here to get clout. I’m right here to struggle. The contract will probably be despatched over, we’ll go through the nitty gritty, and you’ll in all probability see us in the ring next, more than doubtless – but I’m not right here to get in the ring, shouting in somebody’s face.
“If you look at my track record, I have never done that. I came to watch the fight, I saw what I saw, and I know what I need to do.”
