UFC Vegas 106 co-main event suddenly canceled | MMA News

During the UFC Vegas 106 essential card on Saturday, the battle card’s co-main event was suddenly canceled.

Light heavyweights Rodolfo Bellato and Paul Craig had been scheduled to be the co-featured battle but Bellato was compelled out of the bout at the final minute due to a medical difficulty that left him unable to compete.

The UFC Vegas 106 essential card proceeded with just 4 fights. The bout would have been Bellato’s third octagon look after making his means to the battle promotion through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023. He fought Jimmy Crute to a majority draw in his final outing in February.

Craig was in determined need of a win on Saturday but he’ll have to wait. Having misplaced his final three fights and 5 of his final six, Craig would have doubtless been preventing to keep his spot on the roster.

UFC Vegas 106 occurred at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and was headlined by a welterweight bout between No. 8 ranked Gilbert Burns and No. 12 ranked Michael Morales

The nature of Bellato’s medial difficulty was not revealed by the battle promotion  or his staff but the matchup is predicted to be rebooked at a later date.
