Vernon Kay‘s father has addressed his son’s break up from Tess Daly after 23 years of marriage. The couple launched a joint assertion on Instagram earlier this month. Despite calling time on their relationship, it is said that they’ve remained associates and even raised a glass once that they had hit post on their assertion.
Last week the Radio 2 host, 52, thanked followers for their assist. But now his dad, Norman Kay, has spoken out on the hypothesis that another particular person may have been concerned in the couple’s sudden breakup. He told Daily Mail: “That’s completely garbage. He’s not in discovering anybody else at the second, and there’s no person else concerned.”
Vernon and Tess, who share daughters Pheobe and Amber, had been in a tough spot in 2010 when Vernon was caught up in a sexting scandal with UK glamour model Rhian Sugden, among other girls. 10 years later when he was on I’m A Celebrity, he said his infidelity was ‘in the past’ and that they had ‘moved on’ from that incident.
Norman has been in contact with his son every day since the break up and he confirmed every part was all proper, he added: “But it’s an amicable split, and there is no bad blood between them. They have just gone in different directions, that’s all. Sometimes these things happen for the better and this is one of those cases.”
He also gave advice to his son, saying: “My advice to him is not to rush into another relationship and he’s not doing that because he’s got plenty of time. He’s not as old as me and will come out well from this situation. I’m sure that everything will work out fine for them both.”
Just days before the bombshell assertion, Tess posted a telling {photograph} alongside her daughter Phoebe. The 57-year-old tv character shared a post as her daughter returned from New York as she shared a candy image of them together.
Their assertion read: “After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably,” including that they “remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority”.
They acknowledged at the time that there are no other events concerned and requested for privateness.
