The View teases show return for September

The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin revealed her brutal ideas on President Donald Trump‘s latest backpedaling with the Jeffrey Epstein recordsdata.

Late on Sunday, November 16, the 79-year-old Commander-in-Chief took to this social media platform to urge House Republicans to vote to release the paperwork, describing the controversy as a “Democrat hoax perpetrated by radical left lunatics.”

Trump insisted he has “nothing to hide” and accused Democrats of utilizing the case as a distraction from GOP accomplishments. During the Monday, November 17, episode of the hit ABC speak show, the co-hosts weighed in on the development, with Farah Griffin saying the transfer was “PR” and could not have come at a “worse time” in Trump’s second administration.

Co-host Joy Behar, 83, requested the 36-year-old, who served as the White House director of strategic communications and Trump’s assistant in 2020, “In terms of this 180, do you think that he feels that the Senate will not release them, will not back that?”

Griffin, who is pregnant with her first little one, replied, “So, I don’t buy this 180 at all, I think it’s PR. I think that he is hearing from the MAGA base, who he usually has his finger on the pulse with what they care about. And he realizes this is out of control.”

She added, “He can’t convince them to not care about it. But to Sunny’s point, he has the authority to direct the DOJ to release everything they have. He doesn’t need this discharge petition. He doesn’t need a vote in Congress.”

Before Griffin weighed in, her co-host Sunny Hostin said, “Trump always had the ability to release the Epstein files on his own.”

Griffin continued, “So, it’s purely hoping that some of his followers are going to be like, ‘Oh no, see, he does wanna release the files.’ The reason that I think this is sticking, which I’ve gone back and forth. Will Epstein matter? Will it not? But it’s because it hits to the core of what got Trump into power, ‘Drain the swamp.'”

She explained, “So many of his followers thought he was going to take on the powerful and the politically connected, and by not releasing this and not leaning into full transparency, he seems like he’s protecting those very people. And it couldn’t happen…”

Behar interjected, “Why couldn’t his base get that?”

Griffin replied, “I think it is breaking through. And I think it couldn’t happen at a worse timing because this comes on the heels of him saying, ‘The US doesn’t have enough talented people’ and reversing and saying, ‘more foreign workers.’

“It comes on the heels of him saying, ‘The affordability disaster is a con job,’ and him giving this concept of 50 or more mortgage loans to buy houses.

“He’s really kind of betraying his base on the core issues they care the most about, and I don’t think it will go away, and I don’t think they’re going to let it go.”

At the start of the dialogue, Behar posed the query to her co-hosts about Trump’s reversal, asking, “Why the turn on this?”

Sara Haines said, “He’s losing any support he had. They say right now that the Republicans are flocking to support this because this isn’t political. This is a crime. There was a pedophile involved here, and there are people hiding this.”

She then performed a clip of many of Epstein’s survivors, who held up footage of their youthful selves.

“A 1000 girls and you see them holding pictures of their younger selves, and they were 15 and 16, and I remind everyone of the innocence of life lost, whether you’re eight, four, 15, these are our young people and they will carry this forever.

“So, the least people can do is demand transparency and maintain people accountable for this.”

In his post last night, Trump wrote, “As I said on Friday night time aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans ought to vote to release the Epstein recordsdata, because we’ve got nothing to cover, and it’s time to transfer on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our latest Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.'”
