We Have Plenty of Missiles, but Your Supply of

President Trump returned to the White House Wednesday evening after spending a few days out west touting his financial agenda and stumping for Republican candidates forward of November’s midterms (and saving a little boy from falling off the stage!). And it looks like he had a few issues he needed to get off his thoughts, so he jumped on Truth Social in the wee hours of Thursday morning to make those ideas identified.

No, wrote the president, the United States is just not working out of munitions, despite media experiences to the opposite. And, yes, he’ll hunt down and prosecute whoever leaked the misinformation.

Media shops ran with a story earlier this week claiming that the U.S. had “depleted” its provide of long-range missiles after a number of months of bombings in Iran. Here’s CBS, quoting data it obtained from “two sources with direct knowledge of the matter”:

The U.S. has used practically all of its global stockpile of long-range precision missiles during the struggle with Iran, two sources with direct data of the matter inform CBS News.

And, added the president, those “two sources with direct knowledge of the matter” who shopped the story to the press are being “hunted down” proper now for their “treasonous statements” and ought to anticipate “long term jail sentences” in their future.

RedState’s Ward Clark wrote earlier this week about the ongoing narrative in the press that the U.S.’s arsenal of weapons has been exhausted.

Should we be involved? Well, when there’s a struggle on, we must always always be involved with our armed forces’ weapons shares. Weapons and ammo shares aren’t a cornucopia. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has been denying these experiences since earlier this summer season, telling CBS News’ Margaret Brennan back in June, “That is a manufactured story that the media wants to peddle and ultimately our stockpiles are great, and they’re only getting stronger.”

It’s clear somebody – or a number of someones – is attempting to make hassle for the president in the lead up to the midterm elections. In addition to the avalanche of tales about dwindling navy stockpiles, the press has run with a story that President Trump blew up at his advisors at a Camp David assembly over his so-called “frustration over the Iran war.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt put that story to relaxation, tweeting, “This B.S. story was shopped to many outlets by someone clearly out to disparage the Secretary, for whatever reason. Unfortunately for them, the President loves the Secretary and thinks he’s doing a tremendous job. FAKE NEWS!”
