The Season 34 cast of Dancing With the Stars, which has finally been unveiled just weeks before the show’s premiere, will soon be dancing through a number of weeks of competitors–and also incomes some hefty paychecks in the course of.
The ABC collection, which simulcasts on Disney+, unsurprisingly does give celebrities a paycheck to be on the show, though they don’t win particular “prize money” at the end of it.
However, the quantity each celeb earns relies upon on how far they make it into the competitors. For celebrities, followers say they “can’t stand” being voted off early means less money than those who make it to the finale.
While current pay particulars aren’t clear in phrases of the quantity everybody makes, the show is believed to put celebrities on a sliding pay scale relying on the quantity of weeks they keep in the competitors.
Since Season 28, the most quantity finalists have been reported to earn is $295,000 if they make it to the finale.

It was reported at the time that it was the most quantity finalists might earn in reference to former Trump White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, and was thought of a $50,000 lower in pay from the earlier reported max of $345,000.
That initial payday had been reported as far back as 2010, with every celeb beginning out with a signing bonus of $125,000, which lined rehearsals and the first two weeks of competitors.
Following that, the celebrities had been reported to be paid on a sliding scale, with an further $10,000 for weeks three and 4, $20,000 if they lasted through weeks 5 and six, $30,000 for weeks seven and eight, and $50,000 for showing in the semifinals or finals.
It has never been confirmed what those quantities modified to when the pay cut was handed down.

However, the sliding scale is still probably in impact, with reigning Season 33 champ Jenna Johnson revealing that a “nice bonus” made it to the finale.
“Whoever makes it to the finale, you all get paid up until then. And you do get a nice bonus,” she said on The Morning After podcast in June.
“If you win, it’s not like you get a million dollars. You’re just getting a cute trophy together,” she added, saying that those who take an early exit are still “guaranteed” for a sure quantity of weeks.
Kaitlyn Bristowe, who received Season 29, also alleged that there was more money per episode until the closing one on the Trading Secrets podcast, with everybody who made it to the closing getting the same. However, she also indicated the signing bonus quantities could be different.

You get a bonus every week that you make it,” she said. “The final four are in the final episode, they all get paid the same. But your signing bonus, I think you can negotiate a bit.”
The pros also obtain paychecks, but there are no set quantities, as everybody makes different quantities.
In the same podcast look, Johnson said that wage is also dependent on seniority, with everybody having “different contracts.”
The quantities have also never been confirmed for what pros make, though it has been reported that they will obtain a beginning wage of $1,200-$1,600 an episode when they start out.

However, as they keep returning to the show and turn into more in style, they’ve room to negotiate greater quantities, with a reported most of $100,000 per season.
For Season 34, that would imply that first-time professional Jan Ravnik is making far less than Val Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas, who are both returning for their twenty first seasons as professional dancers.
Dancing With the Stars Season 34 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 16 on ABC and Disney+.
