Tiger Woods reached out to Donald Trump after starting a relationship with the previous President’s ex-daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump.

Woods, who celebrated his fiftieth birthday on Tuesday, went public with his relationship with Vanessa in March. The {golfing} legend has had a robust 12 months on the sports activities entrance, struggling an Achilles tendon rupture just months after back surgical procedure. The 15-time major champion hasn’t participated in a PGA event since the Open in 2024.

“He told me about it, and I said Tiger, that’s good, that’s good. I’m very blissful for both. I just allow them to both be blissful.”

While Trump gave his blessing to Woods’ romance with Vanessa, the President also attributed his son’s marriage breakdown to outside pressures. During his father’s 2016 White House bid, Trump Jr held a meeting with a Russian national who had offered dirt on Hillary Clinton, though he ultimately faced no criminal charges.

“I occur to suppose the connection with my son, I occur to suppose their relationship was damage very badly by the witch hunt that went on: Russia, Russia, Russia and all the c— they put Don through, who knew nothing about it,” Trump added.

Vanessa and Donald Jr’s oldest daughter Kai shows real promise on the golf course. The 16-year-old, who goes to the same school as Tiger’s kids, will be hoping her mother’s new boyfriend can help take her game to the next level.

Back in March, Woods went public with the relationship, posting photos alongside Vanessa.

He wrote, “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my facet! We look ahead to our journey through life together. At this time, we’d admire privateness for all those close to our hearts.”
