Wheel of Fortune contestant spills | TV Shows

A Wheel of Fortune winner who, like others, managed to make a comeback and win an impressive prize amount, is spilling the beans about his experience on the show.

The contestant, whose episode aired in February, managed to improve upon an initially weak showing during his episode, not only making it to the bonus round, but successfully winning it as well.

And while others still wind up left reeling after “bummer” losses due to “tough” puzzles, in this case, there was nothing but gratitude for the experience on the show and the prizes won.

The contestant, Drew Goldfarb , faced off against Akreya Works and Lauren Monnlial, initially falling behind the others.

However, after a strong finish, he took to social media to spill some secrets.

While on the episode, Goldfarb managed to win an eight-day trip to the Pacific Northwest valued at $13,654, with a grand total of $46,912 in cash and prizes at the end of regular gameplay.

After choosing Phrase for his final puzzle, and guessing his five letters (he received an extra one for picking up a Wild Card)–he quickly won the bonus round as well.

Alongside the standard R,S,T,L,N,E, he guessed C,D,M,A, and G–leaving the puzzle to read “TA_E M_ AD__CE.”

After quickly guessing the correct answer of “Take My Advice,” he learned he won an additional $40,000, bringing his grand total to $86,912.

Taking to Instagram after the fact, Goldfarb then shared a behind-the-scenes secret regarding his win.

Sharing snaps from the show, he jokingly captioned it had been hard to keep the outcome a secret–and also revealed how long he had been doing just that.

“Well, THAT was a tough secret to keep! My episode of @wheeloffortune aired this week after it was filmed in mid-January,” he wrote.

“I could not have hoped for a better outcome,” he concluded the post, which also praised his competitors. “It was an incredible experience even before I banked my first dollar. And I’m so glad that Angela [his wife] was able to be there with me to experience it.”
