“We’re celebrating milestones in honor of our 50th anniversary, and we actually had one happen earlier in the week right on our set,” Seacrest says in the video.

“Robin, the boyfriend of former contestant Rhea, reached out for our help in asking her a big question,” White adds. “With Jim, we created a bit of a ruse, making Rhea think she was back to celebrate Wheel’s 50th.”

The clip then shows as Rhea “competes” in a Phrase Toss-up puzzle, with two others. With _I_ _   Y_U   _ _ _ R_  _ _? On the board, Rhea buzzes in and correctly solves it, saying “Will You Marry Me?”

The doors for the stage then open, and Robin then strolls out onstage, with Rhea’s face showing obvious shock as he shows himself.

He then got down on one knee, as Vanna and Jim Thornton, the show’s announcer who filled in as host for the ruse smiled in the background.
