Zach Johnson’s caddie Damon Green did not hesitate to confront rowdy spectators after the previous Ryder Cup captain confronted taunts over Team USA’s struggles.

When the fan specified his situation was with Johnson’s workforce alternatives, the caddie shot back, “Well then go talk to them. Just shut up, don’t be a d—.” Before strolling away, Green flashed a smile in the direction of the heckler and sarcastically remarked, “Yeah, cool. Exactly.”

“I’ve got a lot of 20/20-hindsight things that I certainly think about. Arguably, some regrets,” Johnson admitted back in 2023. “But I think again something of that magnitude, win or lose, you’re going to have that, that’s sports.

“And I feel that is whenever you care, you are obsessed with one thing, you are going to have these natural emotions.

“You’re looking back on things, if I could have put more value into time management, I could have put my guys in a better position to play golf at a better rate early on.”
