Zelensky accused of losing his mind over drone | Political News
President Volodymyr Zelensky has been accused of allegedly “losing his mind” after claiming Hungary violated Ukraine‘s airspace after allegedly seeing reconnaissance drones.
The Ukrainian President acknowledged that preliminary evaluations indicated the drones may need been surveying the “industrial potential”of Ukraine‘s western frontier areas, which the NATO nation has denied. Zelensky’s remarks triggered outrage in Budapest, with Hungarian overseas minister Peter Szijjarto sharing his emotions on X, stories Daily Express UK.Â
“President Zelensky is losing his mind to his anti-Hungarian obsession. He’s now starting to see things that aren’t there,” Szijjarto wrote on the social media website. This marks the most latest conflict between the NATO member and Ukraine, as Hungary continues to hinder the nation’s entry into the European Union.
Following a navy briefing on Friday, Zelensky announced: “The commander in chief reported on recent drone incidents along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. “Ukrainian forces recorded violations of our airspace by reconnaissance drones, that are seemingly Hungarian.
“I instructed that all available information be verified and that urgent reports be made on each recorded incident,” added Zelensky. Last month, Budapest applied a journey prohibition on the commander of Ukraine‘s Unmanned Systems Forces following strikes on a Russian oil pipeline that disrupted deliveries to Hungary.
On Friday, Ukrainian overseas minister Andrii Sybiha revealed that Kyiv had retaliated by implementing an entry prohibition on “three high-ranking Hungarian military officials”.
“Our mirror response to Hungary’s earlier baseless entry ban for our military officials,” he acknowledged.” Hungary’s every act of disrespect will be met with adequate response, especially disrespect for our military.”

Szijjarto alleged that Ukraine had “carried out an anti-Hungarian policy” for a decade. This development occurred when Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared that his nation would persist in acquiring fossil fuels from Russia despite strain from his ally, Donald Trump.
He revealed he informed the U.S. President that abandoning Russian power would spell catastrophe for Hungary’s economic system. Hungary stands as one of the few remaining European nations to keep purchases of Russian oil and natural gasoline following Russia‘s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Trump, who admires the Hungarian PM, lately urged all NATO nations, including Hungary, to stop shopping for Russian oil as he seeks to convey the warfare in Ukraine to an end.
