Zoe Ball issues advice on separate bedrooms after | UK News

Zoe Ballhas weighed in on whether or not sleeping in separate bedrooms may signal bother for a relationship Speaking with Jo Whiley on their Dig It podcast, the pair responded to a listener who wished to know the pair’s ideas on the matter.

As half of the message, the listener named Emma said she was “exhausted” as her husband snores and interrupts her sleep most nights.

Due to this, she said she is contemplating staying in the visitor bed room, including: “But part of me worries if we end up sharing a bed, is that the beginning of the end?”.

Issuing her advice, Zoe, 54, said: “Emma I feel for you, in our household it’s probably the other way round.

“I’m the one who will get up to pee a lot and I’m the one who snores.

“I’ve had complaints from the kids in separate rooms who can hear my snoring. Beginning of the end, separate bedrooms?”.

Sharing her ideas, Jo said she did not sleep in the same mattress as her long-term partner, but insisted it hasn’t ruined her marriage. “So yeah separate bedrooms all the way,” she championed.

Zoe chimed in: “I have been known to occasional get up and go and sleep somewhere else if it’s Nel [Nelly, her daughter] or you know, to let someone have a restful night if I’m restless or to get a restful night if someone else is restless, you know with colds and flus and bugs and things like that.

“And I assume there’s that factor where you get that good little bit of sneaking back in in the morning, but yeah this is the issue, the sleeping habits factor is hard is not it?”.

Zoe went on to say she’s often kept awake due to listening to episodes of Newscast or Desert Island Discs.

Recalling one night in particular, she added: “I did not go to sleep at all, it was a full catastrophe.”

The BBC Radio 2 star shared her thoughts after she was spotted holding hands with who appeared to be her new partner, at Glastonbury Festival.

An onlooker who saw the pair said they “appeared blissfully glad and had been strolling along holding palms”.

“She was really smiling at him as they walked along and he was very protective of Zoe and put his hand across her back,” they added to The Sun.

“People were doing double takes at her bloke though because he looks a lot like Fatboy. It’s so great to see Zoe smiling again.”

Zoe was previously married to Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, with whom she has two children Woody, 20, and Nelly, 14.

After their split, the presenter moved on with Billy Yates, who sadly took his own life in 2017 aged 40.

She went on to date Michael Reed, but their relationship came to an end after six years due to reportedly “growing aside”.
