Zoe Ball is coming back to BBC Radio 2 just five months after saying she was quitting her flagship Breakfast Show. During her final look on Radio 2’s Breakfast Show, musician Robbie Williams teased that this was “not the end” for the presenter – who was fast to deny his assertion. However, it now appears his hypothesis about her future in the leisure industry was right as Zoe is now launching a Saturday afternoon programme on BBC Radio 2.
BBC bosses have stated her new show will comprise “the best songs and chat for a Saturday”, while Zoe has informed listeners to anticipate “lots of laughs” and her favorite upbeat hits. Head of Radio 2, Helen Thomas, shared the information in February saying: “Zoe is one of the UK’s most loved presenters, so I’m thrilled to announce that she has a new home on Radio 2 on Saturday lunchtimes, plus she’ll be hosting various specials for us throughout the year.”
