(*2*)2 Chainz is TRUUUly sorry for the feedback that sparked backlash following his restaurant review confrontation with Keith Lee, but the restaurant proprietor is still going through criticism for stopping short of publicly apologizing straight to the TikToker.
As beforehand reported, followers had been livid with the College Park rapper and urged him to apologize to Keith Lee after he seemingly confused the favored food critic with another restaurant reviewer during an episode of Kirk Franklin’s Den of Kings.
During the dialog, a visibly annoyed 2 Chainz questioned Lee’s credibility as a restaurant reviewer and defended celebrities receiving particular treatment over on a regular basis clients. As it seems, however, Lee never publicly posted a detrimental review of his restaurant.
Fans identified that 2 Chainz’s frustration could have been misplaced, as fellow TikToker Mr. Chimetime was truly the one who delivered a scathing review of his institution.
Now amid a hearty serving to of detrimental responses, 2 Chainz is saying it’s all in the past.
“I got a chance to speak to Keith after the podcast and it was all love,” the rapper wrote on social media. “I know my words offended some people and I apologize for that. What I said and what I meant were two different things. I could’ve done a better job getting my point across.”
Keith Lee has yet to publicly acknowledge 2 Chainz’ phrases, but followers are once again rallying behind him and demanding that 2 Chainz publicly apologize to the TikToker for the mix-up.
“Don’t apologize to us peasants!” wrote one critic.
“We wanna see you apologize to him publicly,” added another.
