2 planes collide midair at Colorado airport | Latest Travel News

Two small planes collided midair on Sunday as they had been trying to land at an airport in Colorado, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA said two people had been aboard each plane, and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office told a local NBC News outlet that one individual was killed and three had been injured.

The plane, a Cessna 172 and an Extra Flugzeugbau EA300, collided while attempting to land at Fort Morgan Municipal Airport in Colorado at roughly 12:10 p.m. local time, the FAA said.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the incident, and investigators will arrive on the scene tomorrow afternoon, the NTSB said in a assertion.
