Bad films are a dime a dozen; you overlook about them the identical day you watch them, with little to no resentment. But dangerous films with wasted potential — these are the robust ones. It's irritating and disappointing to look at a movie utterly crumble when it had all the correct elements to be attention-grabbing. That's sadly the case with the pseudo-horror movie History of Evil, a title that ought to've been reserved for a significantly better movie; like the remaining of the film, the title bites off greater than it may well chew. It's a political thriller combined with haunted home horror parts, like if The Shining and Children of Men had a child, although that's overselling this movie by miles.
