The sight of Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift taking in a Chiefs playoff sport collectively at Arrowhead Stadium had followers dropping their minds this previous January.
But as the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year instructed ESPN in a new function, it was merely two people having fun with “real conversations,” just like any different NFL fan.
“I think what people don’t always realize about people with a certain spotlight, whether it’s her, whether it’s me, whether it’s another professional athlete or a pop star, we’re real people,” stated Clark, who is making ready for her second WNBA season with the Indiana Fever.

“We’re just having normal conversations as any other person in Arrowhead Stadium that night. She loves the Chiefs just as much as I do. I’m talking football with her. She loved it, and just like her passion, and honestly, probably one of the sweetest people I’ve ever been around. And everybody says that when you meet her, but it’s really true. She just treats everybody with the same amount of kindness, and her family was great.”
Clark, a longtime Chiefs fan, surprised the plenty on Jan. 18 when she was noticed in a suite with Swift, who was cheering on her boyfriend, star Kansas City tight finish Travis Kelce, during the crew’s Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Texans.
Kelce, 35, scored a landing in the 23-14 victory.

Shortly after the sport, Clark — a recognized Swiftie — gushed over the pop celebrity’s character in an look on the “Swarmcast” podcast.
“Taylor is very sweet and very kind, and it’s just a good reminder that people in our position … we are very normal,” Clark, 23, stated in late January.
“Sometimes our lives aren’t normal, but we are very normal people, and we enjoy doing fun things, too.”

Swift’s look at the sport got here roughly one month after she wrapped her blockbuster Eras Tour, which ran for practically two years.
One week after the Chiefs downed the Texans, Swift, 35, cheered on Kelce as the crew knocked off the Bills in the AFC Championship, 32-29.
The 14-time Grammy winner then traveled to New Orleans for Super Bowl 2025, when the Eagles throttled the defending champs, 40-22.

Since the Chiefs’ heartbreaking Super Bowl loss on Feb. 9, Kelce and Swift have stored a comparatively low profile.
The two emerged this weekend in Philadelphia, where they celebrated Mother’s Day with their households.
Perhaps a Fever sport is in the couple’s future with Indiana opening the season Saturday against the Chicago Sky.
Swift and Kelce have been courting since 2023.
