Fans of a Bruce Springsteen cover band had been left ‘irate’ after a bar proprietor selected to cancel the group’s scheduled show in New Jersey this month, due to the singer’s ongoing fued with President Donald Trump.

The Born in the USA hitmaker has been vocal about his political stance for a number of years, but he considerably reignited his conflict of phrases with the US President earlier this month while performing reside in Manchester, England. Trump retaliated via his Truth Social account and posted: “I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States. As the feud rumbles on, one New Jersey band known as No Surrender have been left out of pocket after a gig they had been due to play at Riv’s Toms River Hub on May 30 has been canceled.

Owner Tony Rivoli allegedly textual content No Surrender frontman Brad Hobicorn and mentioned it was “too risky at the moment”, citing his restaurant’s conservative buyer base.

Speaking solely to The Express US, Hobicorn mentioned: “He texted me saying, ‘this is going to be a problem. I’ve been down this road before… Bruce does this from time to time and our show is not till the end of the month.

“‘We’ve acquired some time, so let’s let it die down, as it normally does, and we’ll go from there’, and then he mentioned to me, ‘effectively, you do not perceive, my buyer base right here is redder than red’,” Hobicorn claimed.

However, Rivoli came around to the idea as Hobicorn explained: “He mentioned, ‘Okay, let’s, you are proper, let’s let this hopefully die out. But then, of course, Trump then got here back at Bruce, and then Bruce got here back at him, and so it is ongoing, and at that level, he despatched me one other textual content saying, ‘Yeah, this isn’t going to work, Bruce cannot keep his mouth shut’.”

Hobicorn claimed that Rivoli went on to say: “You know, my buyer stands up for the national anthem with their hand over their coronary heart, this isn’t going to go effectively, it is not going to be good business for me. I’m canceling you guys.”

In an attempt to ensure the gig could still go ahead, Hobicorn suggested they play under their original name of Asbury Fever and only play classic rock songs – instead of Springsteen covers.

“At this level, I used to be just attempting to protect the gig and the {dollars} for the band, for the blokes. He determined that he could not do that because he had allotted a particular tribute band finances, and he would sometimes pay a run of the mill basic rock cover band, like $800 bucks, which was a observe of what he was paying us, and so that wasn’t going to work on my finish,” Hobicorn explained.

Once word got out about the cancellation, Hobicorn says Rivoli reached out to him and allegedly tried to backtrack and insisted he had never canceled the band’s appearance in the first place.

“So I mentioned, ‘Well look, I feel the harm has been carried out. This is tainted, there’s a destructive facet and vibe to it’. I mentioned, ‘I’ll throw it out to the blokes and we’ll take a vote’.” However, the band have opted against performing at Riv’s Toms River Hub due to a “security concern”.

“If you are telling me your prospects are so hardcore, I’m a little nervous that they’re gonna react to my band, and I’m going to take that into consideration, and so the consensus was, ‘let’s not do it, this doesn’t appear to be a place we would like to play’.”

Luckily, No Surrender managed to e book in one other show for May 30 and will now play Headliner Oasis in Neptune Township.
