A 23-person grand jury in Mississippi has unanimously determined that no felony costs needs to be introduced in the case of Nolan Wells, the 18-year-old who died over the Independence Day weekend while partying on a small island in the Gulf of America.
The ruling comes after the grand jury reviewed the official post-mortem report from the Mississippi State Medical Examiner’s Office, which discovered the teenager’s trigger and method of death to be undetermined, but that it was “consistent” with a drowning.
“The Grand Jury finds that the position of, the condition of, time of discovery, and location of Mr. Wells’ body is consistent with drowning,” according to the report filed Friday in Jackson County. The jury discovered no credible evidence that anybody dedicated a crime against {the teenager}.
