Throwdown: Simone Biles Goes Full Mean Girl on | Political News

I didn’t have “Simone Biles attacks Riley Gaines” on my bingo card this week, and yet right here we’re.

Biles, of course, gained 11 Olympic medals in ladies’s gymnastics, with seven of them being gold, while Gaines was a champion collegiate athlete in ladies’s swimming and turned a fiercely outspoken critic of having males take part in ladies’s sports activities after having to compete against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.

Gaines has made it her mission to shield ladies’s sports activities and has been instrumental in laws handed and signed into law at the state stage, as effectively as the Executive Order on the difficulty signed by President Donald Trump in February.

The Biles-Gaines X battle began after Gaines responded to a tweet posted to a high faculty women’ softball staff’s account by noting that the tweet had the replies turned off for a purpose:

For some weird purpose, this set Biles off, and she issued a very cringeworthy, very juvenile response:

You’re actually sick, all of this campaigning because you misplaced a race. Straight up sore loser. You needs to be uplifting the trans neighborhood and maybe discovering a means to make sports activities inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans really feel secure in sports activities. Maybe a transgender class IN ALL sports activities!! 

But as an alternative… You bully them… 

One issues for sure is no one in sports activities is secure with you around!!!!!

And in one other tweet that a third grader can be embarrassed to write, Biles wrote, “bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male @Riley_Gaines_.”

Conservative commentator and former ESPN co-host Sage Steele had one of the higher responses, shredding Biles for her betrayal of feminine athletes:

Easy to say this @Simone_Biles when you only had to compete against fellow ladies. Every one of your Olympic medals got here competing against fellow ladies. @Riley_Gaines_ was not only compelled to compete against a man, but compelled to share a locker room with a man. THAT is SICK.  Shocked and dissatisfied that you’d assault one other lady who has completed nothing but uplift different ladies.  If YOU assume it is smart to create a league for trans people, go for it!  Use that enormous platform of yours!  But to assault Riley for what she has completed for little women who need to be the next  Simone Biles is……..sick.

Christian author Kaeley Triller also went off:

This is gaslighting, and the bully is you. You could possibly be such a champion for women; as an alternative you’re taking part in handmaiden to the boys working roughshod over them. 

Why?

For advantage signal factors? Identities don’t play sports activities; our bodies play sports activities, and make our bodies have male privilege. 

As we converse, little women across the nation are watching boys steal their state titles as they watch from the sidelines. 

Where the hell are you? Give your fairly head a shake. You’re on the unsuitable aspect of historical past. Girls deserve bolder function fashions than the individual you’ve turn into.
