Coco Gauff beats Aryna Sabalenka for first French…

Coco Gauff acquired the best of Aryna Sabalenka yet again.

Gauff, in a rematch of the 2023 U.S. Open closing, earned her second Grand Slam and her first at Roland Garros in a come-from-behind victory after shedding a aggressive first set to win the French Open 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday.

The 21-year-old turns into the first American girl in a decade to win the most important, the final being Serena Williams in 2015.

Gauff is also the youngest American to win the ladies’s singles title since 2002 when Williams at 20-years-old received the first of her three profession titles in Paris.

She also avenged her 2022 French Open closing disappointment when she misplaced to Iga Swiatek in straight units.

“First, I’d like to thank God for always keeping me in his corner. I’m just happy to be here,” Gauff began off during the trophy ceremony. “Loads of laborious knocks. It means a lot to be right here. “You deserve all the results you get and every time we play it’s such a tough match for me, so congratulations.”

She then addressed her dad and mom, who have been in the group, among Gauff’s coaches.

“You guys keep me grounded and give me the belief. Thanks and I love you guys. To my brothers at home, you are the reason I do this, and you inspire me more than you know.”

“Thanks to everyone who made this tournament happen, and thanks to you guys (the crowd)! You really helped me today, you were cheering for me so hard. I’m not sure what I do to deserve so much love from the French crowd but merci beaucoup.”

It was a large momentum-shifting match that lasted two hours and 38 minutes. However, Gauff had the sting in the top, changing 9 of 21 break level alternatives.
