Samantha Jones has entered the chat.
Kim Cattrall, who performed Jones, the sex-positive public relations boss in “intimacy and the City” for a long time, has seemingly responded to the information that its HBO spinoff “And Just Like That” is ending after three seasons.
The closure of the reboot marks the top of “intimacy and the City” after 27 years.

Cattrall hinted about the top after taking to her Instagram shortly after the spinoff’s showrunner, Michael Patrick King, and the franchise’s star, Sarah Jessica Parker, made the announcement.
Posting clear waters with a attractive sundown, Cattrall made her first post since the “And Just Like That” information broke.
“It’s the end of a very long week ❤️💋,” the actress wrote.
Although she didn’t be part of her authentic co-stars Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York) for the reboot following an alleged feud with Parker, Cattrall did make a transient solo look at the top of Season 2.
Her absence was felt by followers in every single place and was a big miss for the sequence.

Cattrall starred as the sexpot Samantha in the unique sequence from 1998 to 2004. She reprised the fan-favorite function alongside Parker, Nixon and Davis in the 2008 “intimacy and the City” film and its 2010 sequel.

Despite failing to return as Samantha for “And Just Like That” past a single, transient cameo, Cattrall still spoke extremely of the function earlier this yr during an interview with The Times.
“I created a fantastic character that I loved, and I put a lot of love in it,” she informed the outlet in June. “And if I’m remembered only for that, then that’s really OK.”
As for Cattrall’s former co-stars, they each took to social media following the information that “And Just Like That” wouldn’t be returning after Season 3.

“Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all,” Parker, 60, wrote on Instagram.
“I am profoundly sad,” Davis, also 60, stated in an Instagram post of her own. “I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working hard on our show with deep love.”
Nixon, 59, wrote that she “couldn’t believe” the “intimacy and the City” spinoff was formally coming to an finish.

“It has been such a delight from start to finish,” she stated on Instagram alongside a number of behind-the-scenes photographs and clips. “I will miss working with these people everyday SO incredibly much but know we will always be a part of each other’s lives.”
The spinoff’s showrunner, meanwhile, insisted that the show wasn’t canceled.
While saying the top of “And Just Like That” on Friday, King defined why the show is not going to proceed past a two-part sequence finale later this month.

“And just like that… the ongoing storytelling of the’ intimacy And The City’ universe is coming to an end,” he stated. “While I was writing the last episode of ‘And Just Like That…’ season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.”
But canceled or not, the reboot’s scores had been steadily dropping from season to season.
Plus, some critics claimed that the show had turn into “insufferably woke” – significantly with Miranda’s non-binary love curiosity, Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez).
“Che seems like they are a manifestation of… an irritating Twitter account come to life,” one viewer informed The Post after the first season aired.

“Che Diaz single-handedly set back non-binary representation 70 years,” one other critic complained.
Comedian Bobby Lee, who performed the function of Jackie Nee in the first two seasons, also claimed final month that the spinoff suffered from “woke elements.”
“Some of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that,” he stated.
However, insiders speculated that the sequence was almost definitely cut because it was merely changing into too costly.
