Newly sworn-in Mayor Zohran Mamdani faces allegations of eradicating two posts from the Eric Adams administration that highlighted the town’s efforts to fight antisemitism, which have been revealed just hours before Mamdani took workplace and gained control of the account on Thursday, according to the National Jewish Advocacy Center.

As his last official motion as mayor, Adams revealed three back-to-back posts on Wednesday morning selling the town’s “first-ever municipal report” on combating antisemitism, describing it as a “blueprint for 2026.”

However, the next day, after Mamdani took the oath of workplace, two posts from the collection had vanished, leaving only the concluding one, with others now marked as “This Post was deleted by the post author.”

The NJAC delivered a strongly worded letter, which was also forwarded to the town’s Department of Investigation and the Conflicts of Interest Board, according to Mark Goldfeder, director of the National Jewish Advocacy Center.

“It is difficult to overstate how disturbing it is that one of your very first acts as Mayor of New York City, on your very first day in office, was to delete official @NYCMayor tweets addressing the protection of Jewish New Yorkers,” the group wrote in correspondence directed to Mamdani.

“At a moment of unprecedented antisemitic intimidation, violence, and exclusion in the City the decision to erase official statements affirming the safety and protection of Jews is not merely tone-deaf, it is shameful. It sends a message, whether intended or not, that Jewish New Yorkers are uniquely undeserving of continuity, clarity, or reassurance from their own government,” the NJAC continued.

Meanwhile, Israel’s international ministry leveled accusations of antisemitism against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Friday following his reversal of govt orders put in place by his predecessor Eric Adams that had barred metropolis officers from implementing punitive financial measures like boycotts, divestment and sanctions concentrating on Israel.

Mamdani’s administration reportedly eradicated the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism, which the Adams administration had adopted as it acknowledges “demonizing Israel and holding it to double standards as forms of contemporary antisemitism.”
