That’s precisely what occurred to Illinois resident Kaitlyn Ostolaza and her fiancé, who had excitedly bought a home together the earlier summer season.
Busy transferring in and getting located, it wasn’t until a few months later that Ostolaza found the home had a secret attic, thanks to her father. However, what she discovered up there was even more stunning.
After finally accessing the attic utilizing a makeshift rope, since the string to pull down the steps was lacking, the household discovered random gadgets most possible left behind by earlier homeowners, such as pool floaties and damaged tennis rackets.
The most stunning discovery? A wedding dress neatly folded in its designated box.

While this head-scratching discovery was positively surprising, it’s what Ostolaza determined to do with it that despatched social media into a frenzy, after she posted about the hidden wedding dress on TikTok.
The Post reached out to Ostolaza for remark.
In a video, with nearly 3 million views and overlay textual content that reads: “POV you bought a house with your fiancé and find a wedding dress in the attic,” the excited bride-to-be is seen opening a rigorously packaged classic wedding dress.

She then takes out the long-sleeved, lace robe and holds it up to herself, clearly excited to use this dress in some manner, as her caption read: “This is not the previous owners wedding dress. Hoping to use something left behind as my something borrowed for our wedding. I just know whoever wore this dress looked amazing in it. The train is everything.”
Ostolaza tried to discover the source of the dress by contacting the earlier owners but to no avail, as explained by the Daily Mail.
“I don’t know what my plan is for now,” she told the outlet. “I really like the idea of repurposing it into a reception dress or robe to use on the day of the wedding.”
