Tim Walz Scrambles to Defend Himself on MN Chaos | Political News

Minnesota is a full mess.

Between the large fraud that has gone on for years, which some estimate might contain as a lot as $9 billion, and the chaos Democrats have ginned up against ICE, they’re in a lot of bother.

Gov. Tim Walz (D) must be looking for all the help he can from the federal authorities. Instead, he has been inciting against the federal authorities, even speaking about being at “war” with them about a week in the past.

He’s been egging people on against federal brokers, and the violence has gotten even worse against ICE.

He acquired a important warning from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that he can be held accountable for inciting actions against federal brokers.

So it appears like Walz is now attempting to scramble to justify himself.

But even for Tim, his remarks in a video he posted to X on Thursday appeared significantly clueless.

“Minnesotans imagine in the rule of law. And Minnesotans imagine in the dignity of all people. We’re a place where there’s room for all people, no matter who you might be or who you’re keen on or where you got here from. A spot where we feed our youngsters. We take care of our neighbors. And we glance out for those in the shadows of life.

We’re an island of decency in a nation being pushed in the direction of cruelty. We will stay an island of decency, of justice, of group, of peace.

And tonight, I come before you merely to ask: do not let anybody take that away from us. Thank you. Protect each other. And might God bless the people of Minnesota.

Except this is not true. If it have been true, you would not have let fraudsters steal billions from us. If it have been true, you’ll help federal law enforcement instead of attempting to stop them and stoking motion against them. It’s an island of fraud and chaos, cut off from most of the sanity of the Midwest. If he believed in the dignity of their own people, he would shield them. If they have been “feeding their kids,” they would not have had the large “Feeding Our Future” fraud.

All he wants to do is say to the agitators: Stop. But discover he did not. Indeed, he appears to suppose they’re such an “island’ that they can decide whether they want to comply with federal law. It doesn’t work that way; you can’t deny federal law.

His actions have made everything worse, and the only good thing about him being the governor of Minnesota is that he isn’t the Vice President of the United States. Thank God — and smart voters — for that. But this is who the Democratic power brokers would have put in the seat.

Tim was inundated with people, variously excoriating him or telling him to resign. I don’t think he was convincing them.

He’s attempting to save himself, but he is so inept, and it isn’t working.
