Dedicated Bridgerton fans have expressed their disappointment over what they’re describing as evident inexperienced screen use throughout the latest season of Netflix’s cherished Regency-era sequence.

Season 4 of Shondaland’s opulent period drama focuses on Benedict Bridgerton (performed by Luke Thompson), the household’s second oldest son, and his passionate romance with maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Their attraction sparked at a masked ball, but their developing romance now teeters on the sting after Benedict’s suggestion that Sophie turn out to be his secret mistress – unaware that she’s the enigmatic Lady in Silver who stole his coronary heart.
