Kurt Cobains uncle thinks Nirvana legend was | Music News

Kurt Cobain’s uncle has said he’s satisfied his nephew was “murdered” as he accused the police of finishing up a “sloppy” investigation into his death.

However, consultants are now raising doubts about that conclusion and are investigating the evidence in a bid to show whether or not the late singer was the sufferer of a murder.

Among those supporting the murder concept is Kurt’s uncle, Gary Cobain, who said the Nirvana star’s grandfather, Leland, thought the same before he died.

Gary, who still lives in the home where Kurt grew up, accused the Seattle Police Department (SPD) of failing to do its job as he insisted, “He was murdered.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Gary described the initial investigation as “sloppy” as he called for the case to be reopened and re-examined more than three many years after Kurt’s death.

Addressing the renewed consideration on the matter after a personal group of forensic scientists lately revealed a peer-reviewed analysis questioning the suicide conclusion, Gary said, “It’s nice that someone else finally caught on.”

The singer’s uncle also said he would not imagine Kurt shot himself because the police only discovered one smudged fingerprint on the gun — and also because of the place of the weapon.

“There should’ve been prints all over the gun. The gun was 45 inches long, I don’t think I could reach that myself,” Gary claimed.

The unofficial group investigating Kurt’s post-mortem has drafted in Brian Burnett, a specialist who has beforehand labored on circumstances involving overdoses adopted by shotgun wounds.

Michelle Wilkins, an impartial researcher on the group, has also claimed that after just three days of reviewing the evidence, issues do not add up.

“This is a homicide. We’ve got to do something about this,” she said. Wilkins claims that she got here to her conclusion following a prolonged investigation into the review of the initial post-mortem findings, which allegedly did not match up to an on the spot death precipitated by a gunshot wound.

Despite the new concept, a spokesperson for the SPD said, “Kurt Cobain died by suicide in 1994. This continues to be the position held by the Seattle Police Department.”

A spokesperson for the Medical Examiner’s Office said, “King County Medical Examiner’s Office worked with the local law enforcement agency, conducted a full autopsy, and followed all of its procedures in coming to the determination of the manner of death as a suicide.

“Our workplace is always open to revisiting its conclusions if new evidence comes to mild, but we have seen nothing to date that would warrant reopening of this case and our earlier willpower of death.”
