According to an official press release from Hulu’s Onyx Collective, R&B heartthrob Tank and beloved actress Meagan Good are becoming a member of Reasonable Doubt in Season 4 as sequence regulars. The casting news follows the latest announcement that Taylor Polidore Williams — identified for her breakout position in Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black — is also becoming a member of the Season 4 lineup. As reported by Deadline, her position stays under wraps, but her addition already had followers curious about where the story is headed.
With Tank and Meagan Good formally in the combo, Season 4 is leaning all the way in which into drama.
Tank steps into the position of Eric Cropper, a rich R&B artist who is both charming and calculated. He is also a longtime consumer of Jax, which suggests his position is more influential than his first-time look. It’s all about energy, affect, and the sort of messy conditions money can’t always repair. Given Tank’s real-life legacy as a multi-platinum singer-songwriter, the casting feels intentional and very on-brand.
Meanwhile, Good takes on the position of Regina Harris — a new district attorney who is described as good, compassionate, and no idiot. Translation: Jax is about to meet her match in the courtroom. Good’s observe file across movie and tv, including roles in Harlem and Think Like A Man, positions her as a strong addition to a sequence already pushed by advanced characters.
Season 4 picks up after a brutal assault that leaves Jax’s world shaken — both personally and professionally. With her law firm dealing with uncertainty and a major consumer caught in a media firestorm, the stakes are larger than ever. The introduction of new characters like Eric and Regina provides even more pressure to an already high-pressure atmosphere.
At its core, Reasonable Doubt continues to heart Emayatzy Corinealdi as Jax Stewart, a high-powered protection attorney balancing profession, household, and past trauma. But with this new lineup, the sequence is clearly increasing its universe and raising the stakes.
