South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham posted a image on his social media, posing with a gun, just days after he was noticed vacationing at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., amid the continuing authorities shutdown.
The Republican Senator, a staunch Trump ally, posed for a social media post in his home state on Monday, seemingly ignoring mounting criticism over his journey to “the most magical place on Earth.”
“Spent some time breaking clays in Edgefield County today. Doesn’t get much better than that,” Graham wrote.
Social media customers, however, weren’t impressed with his capability to deal with a gun, bashing the senator for a latest journey to Disney World amid the continuing partial authorities shutdown that is affecting the Department of Homeland Security and unleashing chaos in airports across the U.S.
Graham was caught in Florida after GWN requested its readers to ship the outlet photographs of members of Congress “living it up while chaos back home drags on.”

“From Disney World to Las Vegas, lawmakers on both sides are kicking back as the government stays shut down and federal workers go unpaid,” GWN wrote, compiling a number of photographs of lawmakers touring across the nation.
According to the tabloid, Graham wore business apparel to the “Tangled” theme space of the Magic Kingdom park, while holding a pink magic wand. In a separate picture on Saturday, Graham appeared in informal clothes while ready to board the Space Mountain rollercoaster.
Users on social media had been enraged at seeing the senator, seemingly on trip, as Americans bear the burden of the continuing shutdown.
“We need more public shaming like this,” one consumer said, applauding people who are posting photos of Congress members on trip.
“Why is a single, childless, elderly man at Disney alone?” another consumer commented.
“While our country is at war, our airports are a mess, DHS is not funded, and elections are not secure, Lindsey Graham is wandering around Disney World with a bubble wand. This is an image that should live in infamy,” commentator Matt Walsh posted on X, alongside a image of Graham.
“The Government is shut down, and the SAVE act isn’t passed, while Peter Pan Lady Graham plays at Disney but even more insulting is American Soldiers are dying in a war he is the face of while he does whatever the hell this is,” Paul Dans, a Republican who is difficult Graham in the upcoming elections, posted.
The South Carolina senator has defended his journey, saying he met associates at the theme park after “meeting in South Carolina on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff and others to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel.”
“I voted seven times to fully fund the government. Call a Democrat,” Graham added.
Other members of Congress have been seen vacationing amid the shutdown. Among them is California Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia, who was seen at a Las Vegas on line casino visiting his dad; Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who was seen on a flight out of Washington; and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who was seen leaving an escalator at Ronald Reagan National Airport on Thursday.
