Trump Says He Thinks GOP Will Prevail in the | Political News
Donald Trump told reporters at the White House Friday before leaving for a rally in Florida that he’s feeling good about Republican prospects in the essential November 3 midterms.
But he has a plan in case they don’t: Veto something Democrats ship to his desk.

The president:
I feel the Republicans are going to win, but if there was, as you call it gridlock, what occurs is I veto every little thing and then the Democrats come and they need to make a deal. So, we’ll work it out.
I imply, if you look traditionally, when you’ve got a scenario where that would occur, if it occurs, you veto, veto, and then they arrive and they are saying, how can we get it accomplished and you make a deal.
Even if the Democrats win the House, the Senate, or both, it’s extraordinarily unlikely they’d have the two-thirds majority vote crucial in each chamber to override a veto.
If the GOP doesn’t keep one or both of their majorities, it received’t be for lack of attempting. Trump has been on a digital non-stop rally blitz, and on Saturday, he and the first woman went to forged in-person votes at the Palm Beach County Library in West Palm Beach, and Trump took a few questions from reporters. One admitted that she will’t keep up with him and puzzled, is he feeling the results?
He told her he was all systems go — but sometimes he talks so a lot he loses his voice:
🚨 A reporter masking President Trump admitted she’s EXHAUSTED going to just ONE rally a week, while Trump is doing them EVERY day, sometimes TWICE a day

🚨 A reporter covering President Trump admitted she’s EXHAUSTED going to just ONE rally a week, while Trump is doing them EVERY day, sometimes TWICE a day
TRUMP: “It’s a pressure on your voice. It’s not regular. In fact, I heard a couple of the shops say no person else has ever accomplished it.”
“I’m not campaigning for myself, I’m campaigning for other people, some of whom I do not know.”
At 80 years old. No days missed. There’s nobody like him. 🇺🇸
Meanwhile, all that the Democrats are offering if they win is more investigations and witch hunts into anyone who works for the administration. Trump hinted that he might take action there, too. Pardons are very much on the table:
Trump says he hasn’t considered pardoning junior administration officials to protect them from future congressional investigations, but makes clear he believes he has the authority to do so.

Pressed by a reporter about a potential pardon plan, Trump factors to the Biden administration and argues it could be unfair for his workers to face years of investigations and mounting legal payments.
“I certainly don’t want to see innocent people go through hell and lose all their money,” Trump says.
There’s a surefire means to keep away from pardons and vetoes, however: win the midterms. Everybody and all people you recognize wants to get their vote in and stop the socialist wave. Let’s go!
Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will decide the destiny of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must keep control of both chambers of Congress.
