No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont has revealed he is been diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease.
The 58-yr-outdated took to Instagram on Sunday, April 12, to share the news with followers as he said he obtained the Parkinson’s diagnosis “a number of years ago.” Captioning his post, Tom gave an update on his condition, saying, “Sharing a personal update. I’m doing well, many thanks for your support.”
In an accompanying video, Tom went into element about his health points. Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Terry Crews also lately opened up about his household’s expertise with Parkinson’s disease.
“It’s Tom Dumont here, I just wanted to say hi,” he started. “The last couple of months, I’m getting ready for the No Doubt Sphere shows. It’s been very fun looking through old footage and looking at old photographs and re-learning old songs.”
He continued, “It’s kinda made me think about how grateful I am for the life I’ve gotten to lead as a musician all these years. And it’s thanks to our families and our friends and listeners and you and everybody who’s come to our shows over the years.

Tom then revealed his health issues as he said, “The other factor I needed to discuss about was my health. So, a quantity of years in the past, I used to be experiencing a quantity of symptoms.
“I went to my doctor, I went to a neurologist, I did a whole bunch of tests and I was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease.”
The guitarist admitted “it’s been a struggle” as he promised to make another video about what his diagnosis means.
Tom added, “The good news is, I can still play music, I can still play guitar. I’ve been doing really well. The other thing is, I’ve just been very inspired by so many people who have come out to talk about their health issues on social media.”
By celebrities talking out, Tom urged it “helps erase some of the stigma and it raises awareness.”
The musician said, “Awareness is really important for prevention, for research.” He concluded his video, “I’m really excited about the shows. I can’t wait to see everybody and thank you for listening.”
Friends and followers flooded the feedback with nicely-needs for Tom. His No Doubt bandmate Adrian Young wrote, “My friend, bandmate, and hero……I love you brother.”
No Doubt member Tony Kanal added, “Love you beyond words my friend. Can’t wait to get on stage with you again.”
Gabrial McNair, who has been in No Doubt since 1993, commented, “You are such a beautiful soul, Tom!! I love you so much and can’t wait get on stage with you!! LFG!”
The band Garbage added, “Sending you so much love Tom. You are such a special soul. What a man.”
