Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s tour of Australia is now underway – but many are still livid. It was confirmed that half of the couple’s journey is being partially funded by taxpayers, who are being compelled to foot the invoice for their security and policing prices. Police forces in Victoria and New South Wales both confirmed that they’d conduct operations to “ensure public safety is maintained” during the Sussexes’ go to, including “additional security measures throughout their stay”.

GB News presenters Tom Harwood and Nana Akua reacted to the news that a number of Australians have been left annoyed by the couple’s tour, with the latter questioning why it’s even being performed in the first place. Speaking to Gossip Wire News Australia presenter Danica De Giorgio, Nana said: “There they are again, Harry and Meghan. I’m not quite sure what the point is of them. I gather they’ve used taxpayers’ money to help fund this thing. People are describing them as boring and what is the point of them being there. What is the point of their visit?”

Launching a scathing assault on the Sussexes, Danica responded: “That’s a wonderful question you ask. We’re all asking ourselves the same thing because the Sussexes soap opera has rolled into town.

“Mr and Mrs Grifter are right here and for what goal? The last time they got here back in 2018, they said that this was the catalyst for leaving the Royal Family and apparently, Meghan ‘hated every single minute of that journey’.”

The TV host continued: “Here they’re eight years later, they’ve returned back to Australia for goodness is aware of what cause and all I can put it down to is that they need money. They need a lot more money.

“Harry’s being sued by the charity he co-founded. Let’s be honest, Meghan hasn’t sold enough jams or dog biscuits over the last 12 minutes. Everything these two have touched has been a complete failure. The grifters are here for money, that’s all I can put it down to!”

Branding it a “phony” royal tour, Danica claimed that Meghan is making an attempt to mirror Princess Diana. She pointed to the couple’s go to to a youngsters’s hospital and famous that the previous Suits actress also spent time “feeding people” at a soup kitchen straight after they landed in Melbourne on Tuesday (April 14) morning.

“She fancies herself as a Princess Diana. She can never compare. She did that a couple of months ago when they went on the phony royal tour to the Middle East and they went to a refugee camp.” the presenter declared.

“She puts on this face like she’s sympathetic and tries to act that way. The problem with this trip is, the majority of it is privately funded by them, but us taxpayers have to fork out for their security and policing costs and that is a problem.”

Danica raged: “I don’t know why we should be. Australia is in the middle of a cost of living crisis as you are over in the UK. If they’re coming here as private citizens, they should be funding it themselves, fully. Apparently it’s going to cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars to do so.”

The host added: “They’re here for the next couple of days. It is a quasi royal tour for two people who want privacy.”
