David Lammy left stuttering as he dodges LBC Nick | UK News

LBC host Nick Ferrari did not maintain back when it got here to asking David Lammy about his stance on the Unite the Kingdom march. Lammy had written a post on X which acknowledged the organisers have been “spreading hatred and division”, including: “They do not reflect the Britain I’m proud of.” Ferrari then requested him: “How do you know? Did you attend it?” Lammy paused for a second and explained that he is based in Central London and is “very aware of the protests”.

He went on to say that 43 arrests have been made, 11 of which have been for hate speech, including that the police did “a huge operation in London with lots of resources”. Lammy reiterated that while people have the best to protest, they must do so peacefully. Ferrari then requested if the 43 arrests have been all linked to the Unite the Kingdom demonstration, prompting the first stutter from Lammy who acknowledged it was over the course of the weekend and that there was another protest, The Nakba Protest, as he admitted he hasn’t seen the full breakdown.

Ferrari then requested again: “How can you know the Unite the Kingdom organisers are spreading hatred and division if you didn’t attend?” Lammy then said: “Look, this was not the first of those marches. Some of those that were asked to come and attend –” as Ferrari interjected.

He then framed it once more as he said: “But you were referring to the ones on Saturday, you didn’t go,” at that level Lammy began significantly stammering before saying: “Come on Nick, you and I have known each other for years!” Before he raged that they both “know what Tommy Robinson is about”.

The feedback left viewers outraged as people rushed to the feedback to hit out at Lammy’s dodging and his remaining dig, with one consumer writing: “Didn’t attend didn’t know the stats facts around protest demonstrated was arrested Judging someone on history not on the actual event.”

Another wrote: “Oh come on Nick. What a plonker that muppet is, has no idea, no reason and spreading lies especially regarding the arrests. Shame on him, shame on him.”

A 3rd fumed: “You have no idea who was arrested, you personally already decided the UTK are the culprites… your answer is, “come on Nick, we all know what TR is about”…. thats is, you are the judge, jury and executioner… commie dictator basically… earning your stripes interview by interview. Nick Ferrari, well done for calling him out here…”

Of the 43 arrests that occurred, The Metropolitan Police confirmed that 20 people arrested have been linked with the Unite the Kingdom protest, 12 have been related with a pro-Palestine Nakba. Day march and 11 weren’t linked to either group.
