U.S. President Donald Trump joked Wednesday that he would run for prime minister in Israel given his high approval ranking there.

“I’m right now at 99% in Israel. I could run for prime minister, so maybe after I do this, I’ll go to Israel and run for prime minister,” Trump told reporters Wednesday. It is unclear what polling that Trump is referring to on Israeli public opinion on him.

However, polling from February discovered that almost three-quarters (73%) of Israelis consider Trump’s overseas coverage on Israel is “better-than-average” and almost half (49%) consider he is one of the best U.S. presidents in historical past for Israel, according to the Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) Israeli Society Index.
