Donald Trump has said he’s planning a mega-rally in Washington D.C. Wednesday after quite a few musicians pulled out of a deliberate America 250 live performance at the last-minute.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump in contrast himself to Elvis Presley, claiming he “gets much larger audiences” than The King in his prime. He also called himself “The GOAT,” an acronym for ‘The Greatest of All Time.’
The president’s feedback got here in response to a number of artists pulling out of the America 250 event in Washington D.C., held to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Trump said: “I understand Artists are getting “the yips” having to do with their performance on Wednesday, so I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate “Artists,” and give a major speech, rallying the Country forward like I have done ever since being President! Two years ago, the United States was DEAD.”
The event, called the Great American State Fair, is scheduled to be a 16-day extravganza operating from June 25 to July 10. Most occasions are slated to be held at the National Mall and organized by Freedom 250, a nonprofit based by the president.
The competition is meant to also characteristic a 110-foot Ferris wheel, a carousel, robotics shows, and rodeo and livestock occasions.
Yesterday, the headliner of the show, Bret Michael, withdrew from the event. The rocker had been slated to headline the musical lineup on July 3, but has now announced he won’t take the stage.
