President Donald Trump confused Venezuela with Iran during a Cabinet assembly on Wednesday, just a day after present process a medical analysis at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in which he declared that “everything checked out PERFECTLY.”

During the assembly, Trump was addressing U.S. army operations in Iran, claiming the nation’s total armed forces and a number of tiers of its management had been eradicated. However, he mistakenly referred to Iran as Venezuela — two international locations where he has ordered army motion — an error that shortly sparked widespread response online.

“I don’t go into war – I go into conflict,” Trump said. “Despite the conflict with Venezuela, who no longer has a navy, no longer has an air force, no longer has a lot of people that were leading the country into very bad places…

“Their management is gone. Their second-rung management is gone. And we’re dealing with their third – half of their third, ‘trigger half of their third is gone, too,” he continued.

The gaffe came just 24 hours after Trump completed a three-hour physical, which included cognitive testing, at Walter Reed. Upon leaving the facility, the president was photographed hunched over his phone inside The Beast, his official motorcade vehicle, reports the Irish Star.

Shortly after, Trump took to Truth Social, writing: “Just completed my 6 month bodily at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff! Heading back to the White House. President DJT.”

Trump was spotted leaving the White House around 9 a.m. on Tuesday as he made his way to the pre-scheduled medical checkup.

Images from the departure captured him hunched over as he walked toward The Beast, which sat waiting in the White House driveway.

The 79-year-old president had this medical examination on his calendar for weeks, bringing renewed scrutiny to his health after he had worked tirelessly to deflect concerns about his age and fitness.

The White House described the Walter Reed appointment as his routine annual preventative medical and dental examinations.

This represents the president’s fourth publicly disclosed medical evaluation since taking office for his second term, coming as he attempts to project strength ahead of the midterm elections, which will serve as a referendum on his standing with voters.

An April poll by the Washington Post/ABC News/Ipsos found that less than half of American adults think Trump has the mental sharpness or physical health required to effectively fulfill presidential duties.

Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman, who served as a White House physician for more than a decade under former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, told The Associated Press that he believes “concern for the president’s bodily health might be at an all-time high,” adding, “I believe superior bodily age is the No. 1 concern.”

A medical checkup for someone Trump’s age would normally encompass thorough cardiac assessments, screenings for common cancers and a cognitive test – along with basics like height, weight and blood pressure, Kuhlman noted. The White House has not disclosed what the appointment will specifically entail, but expressed confidence in what it will reveal.

This confusion has raised alarm bells “President Trump is the sharpest and most accessible President in American historical past who is working nonstop to remedy issues and ship on his guarantees, and he stays in wonderful health,” White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said in a assertion.
