Brooks Koepka’s wife, Jena Sims, has disclosed that the PGA Tour star was moved to tears after their son turned her largest cheerleader during a latest photoshoot.

Koepka, 36, has returned to the PGA Tour this season after his initial departure to be a part of LIV Golf. Koepka cited household causes behind his determination to return, notably after Sims suffered a heartbreaking 16-week miscarriage in October.

The PGA Tour star welcomed his first little one with Sims, Crew, in July 2023, and maintains that fatherhood has essentially shifted his outlook on life. Koepka selected to sit out the Charles Schwab Challenge after ending tied 14th at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, instead dedicating his time to his household away from the golf course. He watched on as Sims participated in a photoshoot, with younger Crew in attendance.

Sims shared a number of photographs in an Instagram post, that includes a heartwarming video of Crew chanting: “Go, Mama; go, Mama; go, Mama…”

In a separate Instagram story, she gushed: “Best. Cheerleader. Ever.” Responding to a remark, Sims let slip that Crew’s enthusiastic assist had gotten to Koepka. “Made Brooks cry,” she said.

Koepka continues to pursue his first major title as a father, having claimed 5 earlier in his profession. Yet, like many skilled golfers, his priorities have undergone a vital transformation since Sims turned pregnant with their first little one.

Speaking forward of the 2025 Masters, Koepka said, “I think my life has changed a lot the last four years. Obviously, having a son changes, too, my perspective on life, not just golf. Maybe golf was kind of everything for me.

“But having Crew, it positively adjustments my perspective. It’s positively softened me fairly a bit. I’m having fun with this new — I do not need to say new me, but just a softer facet. It’s actually enjoyable.”

Koepka and Sims were expecting another child when she suffered a miscarriage in October, and just weeks later, his departure from LIV Golf was announced. LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil described it as a mutual agreement, with Koepka subsequently re-signing with the PGA Tour.

“We have amicably and mutually agreed that Brooks Koepka will no longer compete in the LIV Golf League, following the 2025 season,” O’Neil said. “Brooks is prioritizing the wants of his household and staying nearer to home.

“We appreciate the significant impact he has had on the game and wish him continued success, both on and off the course.” A press release was subsequently issued by Koepka’s management group, which read, “Family has always guided Brooks’ decisions, and he feels this is the right moment to spend more time at home.

“Brooks will continue to be a large supporter of LIV Golf and needs the league and its gamers continued success. Brooks stays passionate about the sport of golf and will keep followers up to date on what’s forward.”
