President Donald Trump touted his proposed peace settlement with Iran, a stance that unexpectedly drew criticism from Fox News viewers.
On June 15, Fox News interrupted its scheduled programming to broadcast live coverage of President Trump, 80, arriving at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Évian-les-Bains, France. The president joined French President Emmanuel Macron, 48, for a press convention at the gathering. Just someday earlier, Trump had revealed that the U.S. and Iran had struck a deal.
The president highlighted the reopening of the essential oil export passage, the Strait of Hormuz, and predicted that oil costs would decline. This got here after Trump had an awkward 15-second handshake with French First Lady, Brigitte Macron, 73, at the G7 Summit.
Trump said, “I think a lot of great things are going to happen with the Middle East right now. Very importantly, the oil is plummeting down. And the stock market is shooting up like a rocket today. Record type of numbers,” studies the Irish Star.
“And the oil is taking its biggest plunge. We’re into the low numbers,” he added.

Trump went on, “We’re getting closer to the numbers we were before it all started.
“And the main factor is that Iran won’t have a nuclear weapon,” he concluded.
Critics flooded social media to challenge Trump’s claims, pointing out that the Strait of Hormuz had been operational before the conflict with Iran began.

One commenter wrote, “It’s a shameful and weak doc! That’s why you have not launched it before signing! You spent $300 billion! Trump misplaced the battle! Very dangerous! Period!” Another individual commented, “Strait of Hormuz was open before Trump’s battle! Are you an fool!? Stop him before it is too late!”
A third person remarked, “Sorry, so what did he obtain with the pointless battle? Trump surrendered already and did not even get the nuclear materials. Biggest strategic blunder in a long long time.”
However, not everyone criticized the President, as one supporter endorsed his actions, stating, “President Trump pulled off what no one ever thought he may.”
