Spoilers for next week’s Emmerdale have revealed what’s next for Lewis Barton. Lewis (Bradley Riches) made his ITV cleaning soap debut last 12 months as the long-lost brother of Ross (Michael Parr). Since then, Lewis has settled into life in the Dales, even bagging a job at the village cafe.

The character has also discovered himself concerned in some big storylines too, including the shock revelation that Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) is his real father. And last 12 months, he struck up a romance with Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson). Over on the cleaning soap this week though, issues took a dramatic flip when Lewis was kidnapped and bundled into a van.

After making ready to be a part of his accomplice Vinny at the airport for their first vacation together, Lewis headed out with his suitcase, only to be stopped in his tracks. A white van pulled up relatively abruptly, and two masked males had been seen. Lewis appeared terrified as one of the lads grabbed him, and abruptly he was bundled into the van.

Spoilers next week have confirmed that Lewis is taken to a home, with newcomer Kylie (Pippa Fulton) orchestrating the ordeal. Ross then receives a regarding message about Lewis being kidnapped, stating Lewis is at risk unless his father returns ‘Penny’ to the kidnapper.

Ross, warning Liam (Jonny McPherson) against calling the police, initially insists they must discover Lewis’s adoptive dad, Jeffrey, but they discover no leads. Liam finally confesses that Lewis’ organic father is Kev and Ross immediately decides they must discover him. Kylie approaches Ross, and reveals she is holding Lewis captive and he’ll only be launched when Kev returns ‘Penny,’ which she deems the ‘most precious thing in the world’.

Stressing it is a matter of life and death, Liam convinces Claudette (Flo Wilson) to give him Kev’s whereabouts. Liam finds Kev promoting truffles from his van, but Ross is aggravated by Kev’s perspective, main to a scuffle. Kev claims Penny is a diamond he bought to a pawn store, and Ross calls for he buy it back. However, once alone, Kev seems to be at a diamond around his neck, making it clear he didn’t promote it after all.

Later on, Lewis is being held by Kylie and when Lewis asks if she goes to kill him, Kylie responds enigmatically which only worsens Lewis’ panic. Then, Ross and Liam are panicking over Lewis’s abduction and Ross receives a threatening textual content from Kylie that includes scalpels.

Kylie video calls Kev, demanding he return “Penny” by the end of the day, emphasising her seriousness by mentioning her eight years in Holloway. Kev initially tells Liam and Ross that the pawn store bought Penny, but later claims he situated it and purchased it back. Suspicious of Kev, Ross knocks him unconscious, telling Liam he plans to use Kev as an insurance coverage coverage for their commerce.

Still locked in Kylie’s bed room, Lewis tries to discover a approach out, but he’s unsuccessful and resigns himself to his panic. Ross then meets with Kylie to strive and get Lewis back.
